Utterly delightful riverside restaurant, just outside Boulogne-sur-mer on the way to Le Touquet off the N142. Conveniently situated for the Eurotunnel and the sea crossings to both Boulogne and Calais, this restaurant with its intimate and charming atmosphere is bound to please.

Dominique Martin took over the Hostellerie de la Rivière, at St Etienne-au-Mont, from his father five years ago. Born in Boulogne in 1965, he first worked at the Michelin starred restaurant, 'Bistrot D'Hubert' in Paris, but he missed the call of his native coastline and returned, first to Le Chalut in Le Touquet and then to the superb Michelin starred Château de Montreuil. Three years later his father invited him to join him.
The good-looking blond chef is as adept and imaginative with meat as with fish, although fish is his speciality and the restaurant itself, by the little Liane river, exudes class. Madame Sybille Martin, the charming wife of Dominique Martin, will welcome you and take care of you in the dining room, aided by their excellent staff and guide you in your choice of menu.
