Upon the confluence of the Loup and Mardaric rivers, the village of Villeneuve-Loubet stands on a hill, while the new town and its buildings stretch down to the Mediterranenan sea.

You’ll be surprised to discover an interesting village with steeply sloping streets bordered by colourful façades and balconies decorated with flowers.  At the top, is a large church with a square belltower which was built at the end of the 15th century by the Lascaris family.  While the château, hiding behind its high walls, is most intriguing. Surrounded by vast grounds, all that can be seen from outside is the top of its 33 metre high watchtower.  The owner, the Marquis of Panisse-Passis, recently decided to open the doors of his residence to visitors.

There is a real village atmosphere in the Brasserie les Platanes and worth a visit before climbing the shallow steps to the church !

The coastal part of Villeneuve-Loubet which is a kilometre or two from the village offers you 4 km of beaches with beach bars and restaurants.
