Beaumes-de-Venise is a charming village, protected from the Mistral by the Dentelles de Montmirail mountain range, and boasts fertile land and a mild climate. Stay in the middle of well-preserved countryside where you can hike, climb, cycle and go mountain biking. Beaumes-de-Venise has also been recognized as a Site Remarquable du Goût (site of remarkable flavour), on account of its Muscat, planted by Greek colonists around 600 BC. Also, worth seeing, a real gem of 12th century Roman art, is the Chapelle Notre-Dame-d’Aubune bell tower which overlooks the village.
