Vaison – A Roman and Medieval town and an essential stopover. Two Gallo-Roman archaeological sites and ancient theatres have been discovered on the left bank of the Ouvèze, spanned by a beautiful bridge which is also Roman. Here, in the Lower Town, you can visit the Romanesque cathedral and cloister. The Upper Town, on the right bank, houses beautiful medieval dwellings that stand at the foot of its 12th century castle.
